Poet Athletics

Help build the home court advantage. Thanks to a $25,000 match from Vince '85 and Jan Daigneault, support for the Dave Jacobs Court & Telescopic Bleachers Renovation can take center court. Help transform our venue in the Graham Athletics Center and create an even stronger future for Poet Athletics.

Thanks to the generosity of Sam Chinarian ’79, Laura Fay, and Leda (Mintzer) Muller ’88, a $10,000 match is on the field for Softball. We are so proud of our student-athletes, and the work they are putting in. With your continued support, we can assist in giving them an experience worthy of their commitment.

A life-changing opportunity, a meaningful mentorship, a lasting friendship. These moments happen because of support from the Poet community. Thanks to a generous $5,000 match from Barbara (Ondrasik) Groce ’57, every gift to the Whittier Fund will go twice as far to support students, scholarships, and campus life.

Football returned to the field bringing together more than 103 student-athletes and 9 coaches to build the next chapter of a proud Whittier tradition. From competition and leadership to academic success, these Poets are laying the foundation for a bright future both on and off the field. Thanks to a generous $25,000 match from Doug Bennett ’65, Art Lombardi ’64, Bill Pate ’65, Jack Stanley ’65, and Timothy Younger '87, your gift can have twice the impact, helping provide resources and opportunities our student-athletes need to thrive. Join the comeback. Unlock the match. Help Poet Football build its next chapter.

Every $1 you give can become $4 thanks to a generous 3-to-1 match, up to $6,000, from Dena (Turpen) Deck '71. In honor of her trailblazing role as one of Whittier's first women athletes under Title IX, serving as both player and temporary coach, Dena is challenging fellow Poets to make a splash. Support Women's Water Polo and multiply your impact in the pool, the classroom, and beyond.

Thanks to the generosity of Leda (Mintzer) Muller ’88, every gift to Women's Soccer will be matched up to $2,500. Your support helps our Poets compete, grow, and succeed. Make your gift today and help the team score this Giving Tuesday victory.
