This is their moment. This is your moment, too. Let’s give them brighter futures, together.
GIVING TUESDAY 2026
This Giving Tuesday, your generosity helps create the moments that shape Whittier College student-athletes into Poets.
Whether it's stepping onto the field for the first time, discovering confidence through competition, forming lifelong friendships, or earning a degree while competing at the collegiate level, these are the moments that define a Whittier experience. Your support helps make them possible.
Whittier College Athletics is proud to join the global movement of generosity this Giving Tuesday. Gifts to the Purple & Gold Club, team funds, and facility projects provide essential resources that help our student-athletes thrive in competition, in the classroom, and beyond.
As an NCAA Division III program, Poet Athletics empowers students to pursue excellence in every aspect of their lives. Today, 45% of Whittier students participate in one of our 19 athletic programs, and exciting new opportunities continue to expand the Poet experience.
With the return of Women's Lacrosse and the addition of Women's Flag Football, more students than ever before will have the chance to discover the moments that make them Poets.
JOIN US IN SUPPORTING POET ATHLETICS
Your gift directly supports:
- Team travel and recruiting
- Coaching and program support
- Equipment and training resources
- Student-athlete wellness and leadership development

Recent investments are already transforming the student-athlete experience. The renovated George Allen Fitness Center is providing modern training resources for all students, while support for the Dave Jacobs Court & Bleachers Renovation project will help vitalize a centerpiece of campus life for current and future Poets.
Every gift is more than a donation. It’s an investment in the experiences, opportunities, and memories our students will carry with them long after graduation. Whether you support the Purple & Gold Club, an individual team, the Whittier Fund, or a facility project, your generosity helps create brighter futures, and the moments students will never forget.
EVERY POET HAS A MOMENT
A conversation that sparked a new passion. A professor who saw potential. A teammate who became family. A scholarship that made a Whittier education possible. Through the Moments That Make a Poet campaign, we're celebrating the experiences that shape students into Poets and inspire them to reach their full potential.
Today, 100% of Whittier students receive financial aid or scholarship assistance, helping make a Whittier education accessible to talented students from all backgrounds.
The Whittier Fund helps make these life-changing moments possible. As the College's most flexible source of support, it provides resources for scholarships, academic programs, student success initiatives, and opportunities that enrich the Whittier experience both inside and outside the classroom.
When you give to the Whittier Fund, you're helping create the next moment that will inspire a student to say, "That's when I became a Poet."
Donations to Whittier College are 100% tax-deductible.
