Whittier Students Workers Alliance (WSWA) believes in fighting to support the most essential workers here on campus including but not limited to its cafeteria workers, groundskeepers, and cleaning services. They are integral to ensuring that Whittier College thrives and succeeds. However, these essential workers are also the most vulnerable to predatory employment practices and experience wealth inequalities every day.
WSWA is composed of a diverse and motivated group of students that put time into making sure that these values don't stop in the meeting but continue through action. A gift to WASWA enables us to provide our students with alternate food sources, like access to the Poet Pantry, to support food service staff while on strike.
