GIVE TO THE POET STUDENT-ATHLETE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Empowering the Next Generation of Poet Leaders
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Poet Student-Athlete Leadership Academy (PSALA).
At PSALA, our mission is to develop, challenge, and empower student-athletes and coaches to become exceptional leaders—in athletics, academics, and life. We believe that true leadership begins with character, and our Academy fosters an environment rooted in Pride, Integrity, and a Commitment to Excellence. Through intentional mentorship, education, and service, we prepare our student-athletes to become Champions in Life—leaders who inspire others and make a lasting impact in their communities.
Our Impact
The Poet Student-Athlete Leadership Academy strengthens the Whittier College community by cultivating connections and pride across campus. Through hallmark events like our Fall and Spring Sports Crawls, Midnight Madness, Homecoming, and the annual Division III Week Celebration, PSALA creates meaningful opportunities for engagement and school spirit.
Beyond campus, we proudly partner with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and Special Olympics to encourage our student-athletes to give back through purposeful community service in the Whittier area. These experiences teach humility, empathy, and the importance of servant leadership—values that extend far beyond the playing field.
Our Immediate Needs
As we continue to grow, PSALA is seeking support to expand our leadership and service initiatives. Our upcoming plans include student-athlete retreats, leadership workshops, and service-learning forums designed to strengthen teamwork, resilience, and confidence.
Your generous contribution will directly support these transformational experiences—helping us build a generation of student-athletes who are not only competitors but also compassionate and capable leaders.
Together, we can empower our Poets to lead with purpose, pursue excellence, and create positive change that reaches well beyond Whittier College.
With sincere gratitude,
Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Success and Compliance
