Men's Basketball funding goal for the 2025-26 academic year: $36,000
Hello Poet Basketball Family,
We’re off and running with a new season, and we’re excited to have you along for the ride! The team is coming off our best finish in recent years, including 18 wins and a SCIAC semi-final appearance, and we can’t wait to get started again and build on last year’s successes.
We said goodbye to Poet seniors Morgan Cox, academic All-American Ignacio Bettinelli, Andrew Milot, Tyler Watters and Tyler Lehnertz, as well as the NCAA Division III Scoring Champion Aamari Smith – we will miss them and wish them good luck in the next chapters of their lives – but once a Poet, always a Poet!
We are so thankful to all our supporters who help us to continue giving our young men the best college basketball experience possible. Your financial support last year helped us take our team to Portugal in the summer where our team gained invaluable experience against international competition and had a cultural encounter that will stay with them for the rest of their lives – but we can’t provide these educational opportunities without your help.
Next year we plan on taking the team to Hawaii for a Division III Tournament just prior to Christmas – come join us! We’ll play two games (December 21 and 22, 2026) and experience Hawaiian hospitality and sunshine, but we need your help to make this trip happen. Please be a part of Giving Tuesday and help support our team to get to Hawaii in 2026.
Thank you and Go Poets!
