At Whittier, every student-athlete matters. As an NCAA Division III program, Poet Athletics empowers students to compete at the highest level while prioritizing academic achievement and future career goals.

With 19 men's and women's teams representing more than one-third of our student body, Poet Athletics plays a vital role in shaping the Whittier experience. Our programs are housed entirely on our beautiful 75-acre campus, creating a seamless connection between classrooms, dorms, dining, training, and game-day facilities.

In her State of the College address, President Kristine E. Dillon '73 emphasized two essential pillars for Whittier's long-term financial stability: rebuilding enrollment and elevating fundraising.

A key factor in attracting and supporting students is ensuring that 100% of them receive a grant or scholarship—a goal made possible through contributions to the Whittier Fund.

The Whittier Fund is our most powerful resource for student success. It provides the flexibility to meet evolving needs—whether through scholarships, innovative academic programs, or campus initiatives that enrich the Poet experience.
